Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy
Diversity, inclusion and acceptance have always been and remain fundamental values of Denver Roller Derby (DRD).
DRD welcomes and actively encourages participation in its membership and league related events and activities by individuals of all ages, sizes, gender identities, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, levels of ability, cultures, and socio-economic statuses.
Intolerance, bigotry and hatred within DRD is not and will not be tolerated and we will continue to actively work with our partner and affiliate organizations to remove harming or hurtful language and behaviors from the sport of roller derby.
We reaffirm this position publicly so that we may continue to offer a safe and inclusive environment while also being held accountable to our values by our members, officials, volunteers, fans, our wider roller derby family and the community at large. Denver Roller Derby is member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) with both Men’s Roller Derby Association (MRDA) and Junior Roller Derby Association (JRDA) affiliates.
