The Denver Roller Dolls are encouraging fans, skaters, and other friends to bring specific donations to our 2013 bouts.  There are boxes for each team at the main entrance to collect the items, and there will be special recognition for the team who brings the most items at the end of the year — plus special giveaways along the way for fans who bring donations.

Our last 2013 drive:

October 12:  coats to benefit Coats for Colorado
Sample items:  winter coats, fleece jackets.  Hats, gloves, and scarves can be donated but will be taken to a local shelter, as Coats for Colorado does not collect these.

Results to date:

Our 5/18 bout garnered 376+ troop care package items for Colorado Supporting Our Troops.  The Bad Apples brought the most donations to the door (166), followed closely by the Green Barrettes (156).  The Cuties, Betties, and Crushers all brought 18 apiece.

Our 8/17 bout harvested 139+ food drive items to benefit Cooking Matters.  The Bad Apples brought the most donations to the door (38), followed closely by the Crushers (35), Barrettes (28), Betties (20), and Cuties (18).

Our 9/14 bout procured over 340 school supplies for Grant Middle School in Denver.  The Crushers dominated by far (140).  The rest of the teams all brought about the same amount:  Barrettes (59), Betties (53), Cuties (45), and Apples (43).

Additionally, Love Hope Strength will continue to register for the bone marrow donor registry at each bout.  Get on the list!
